Decentralization and open source.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I am frustrated that Twitter is not completely open and decentralized. Truth is an example of a decentralized social network that is open and decentralized

Describe the solution you'd like Rewrite/Base Twitter off of the ActivityHub standard and open it under a fairly permissive license.

Describe alternatives you've considered Open source the entire twitter code, as is but that would probably be too hard, if not impossible, due to Twitter probably containing some proprietary non-standard commercial libs.

TheSkyIsLookingGood, I see that thumbs down... I respect your opinion. However, might I add that you maybe have the wrong idea? Because just flat out saying "Nobody needs this" (#446 ) is like saying "Nobody needs open standards and open source", it's just wrong.
