Is the project alive?

I am going to start a new internal-tool for templating.

I see this project has 9-months without any new commits.

I just wanted to check-out in which situation are we:

It does not have any commits because [...]

1. It's currently stable and no big-maintainance has been needed. But if twig makes major changes, this project will follow up with the proper improvements.
2. It's abandoned / semi-abandoned / looking for leaders, etc.
3. Other.

In case of 1. I'd use this project as the basis for my templating tool. In case of 2. I wonder if there are any maintained alternatives. In case of 3. what's the situation?

It's still in use. While I don't have as much time as I used to to push big features forwards, I am happy to help out.

There are others helping too. There was a lot of work done on the documentation lately that is still in review. Your assistance on knowing what needs attention would be great. What would you like to see moving forwards?
