3.38: Clock not updating while topbar is hidden
Hello, recently installed the extension and looks like the clock doesn't get updated while the topbar is hidden, once you unhide it it takes a few seconds to refresh. Not 100% sure the issue is with the extension or rather with the clock itself.
I'm on Fedora 33 (beta) and Gnome 3.38.
Thanks, William
In addition to having this issue as well, I found today that the clock was off by an hour and I needed a shell restart to fix it.
Yes, that would basically stop updating on hide. Showing the topbar and waiting a few seconds would usually update for me though.

I experience this as well since the 3.38 update. Moving the mouse over the clock makes it update, waiting doesn't help.
I have the same issue after upgrading to Ubuntu 20.10.
I think we can safely remove the "unconfirmed" tag...
As a bit of a workaround, setting the clock to show seconds causes it to be redrawn every second, so it'll only show the wrong time for <= a second.
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface clock-show-seconds true
There is a chance that the cause of the problem is in Gnome rather than the extension. I noticed the same bug with the extension turned off when an app (e.g. MVP) is in fullscreen mode, pressing the "Win" key also reveals the top panel with outdated clock.
Fixed in GNOME (mutter) 3.38.2: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/2973
