Top bar react to mouse clicks after return from fullscreen window

Open Aceler opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Steps to reproduce: Open any window in a maximized state. For instance, Firefox. Open second window in full-screen mode. For instance, Chrome or Totem. Switch to first window back.

Expected result: Pressing mouse button anywhere inside the first window should be handled by the window.

Actual result: Pressing mouse button in the top area of the first window cause top panel elements - like calendar, preferences/user menu and so on - to show up.

Workaroud: Switching to the first window again seems to solve the issue, but you need to do it every time you return from the window in a fullscreen state.

This used to happen to me as well, causing me to accidentaly close the window. It seems to be gone now.

Sys now Debian bullseye, Gnome 3.36.1, htb 68-69, Xorg. Didn't note versions when it last happened.
