Events Spanning Multiple Weeks are not Fully Highlighted

When an event spans more than one week (or two days in week view), when hovering over the event only part of the event highlights. The part of the event on other week(s) (or day) does not change color. It would be nice if the whole event changed color.

But there are concerns about the practicality and performance impact of doing this. This is not that high of a priority so if it seems to degrade performance, then do not do it.
