mailto handling does not work if the app is not running yet

  1. Set the app as mailto handler in settings->desktop
  2. Close the app completely
  3. Click on mailto link
  4. Select account
  5. Nothing happens although mail editor should have popped up

originially reported: v3.84.11, still an issue in v3.98.17

Tested on macOS
