Folders not refreshing when delete is pressed

Open alstr opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug Pressing the delete button when viewing a message causes no visible action to occur.

Despite this, the message is moved to the trash. However, the existing copy in the inbox remains.

On pressing 'Clear Folder' in the trash, again nothing happens. It's only on restarting the app that both the Inbox and Trash are cleared.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. View message.
  2. Press trash icon. Nothing seems to happen.
  3. Go to trash. Go to inbox. Message appears to be in both folders.
  4. Attempt to clear trash. Nothing seems to happen.
  5. Restart app. Message is cleared in trash and inbox.

This seems to occur on first launch. Afterwards it runs okay.

Expected behavior The message to disappear from the inbox and trash when the delete/clear button is pressed.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
  • v3.76.11

Seems like you are not getting websocket updates?

This seems to have resolved itself. 🤷‍♂️

Nope, it's doing it again. Happens on first launch after boot.

I'm having this problem in the Firefox browser, on click of delete icon (for email) nothing happens visually until I refresh the page and log back in. Only then can I see the email is moved to the trash.

I noticed something similar in the iOS app today when I tried moving an email. With the email open, I tapped the folder I wanted to move the message to but nothing happened. Same when I tried again. When I navigated back to the inbox, the email was still there. When I force closed the app and reopened it, the email had been moved to the correct folder.
