List doesn't remember read position

The read posisiton in lists should be remembered between read sessions, right now the position is reset every time I open the application and I need to find the position I were when I closed the app.

I find it does mostly remember, but then odd things make it jump to the top, and I've not quite pinned down what, sometimes just going to the home screen and back triggers it.

It does commonly seem to forget if you click on one of its notifications.
