Not exactly, Master plays and broadcasts which files to play and also broadcast he is on which time code, Other players receive the file name, play it and try to match the same time code with the master broadcaster. if you are having small files, they won't be in sync, as most of the time code matches skip 2-5 sec, for longer durations files they will be synced.
