Is it possible to play 4K video on 4K video output on rpi4 4/8gb?

Omxplayer-sync has nothing to do with the file resolution or screen resolution. If normal omxplayer can play your files then omxplayer-sync can.

Omxplayer-sync is using omxplayer at the core

In a meantime, Ive figure it out, RPI4 (bullseye or buster) with OMXplayer cannot play 4k or 2k in HEVC or h264. Ive managed to play 2k HEVC on 2k monitor with MPV.
