export from list datasource

I am using easygrid in a dynamic fashion. I have a fixed number of columns, for which the labels will be dynamically set or the columns hidden. I would like to be able to export this grid and include the headers - however the column headers are taken from the hard coded domain model - therefore empty.

What is the best way to get the headers populated for export?
