Hello everyone, I want to add a 74ch165 as my Arduino expansion IO, through which to add more potentiometers, but I looked up the relevant information, but did not understand how to make them work, can anyone help

The 74HC165 is a shift register, it's a digital device. If you want to connect more potentiometers, I'd recommend an analog multiplexer.
