Version numbers, diff from 0.0.5, manpage?
This project does not have a manpage when it... probably should. Thinking that Debian might have written one, I went out to look for the old rsbep 0.0.5. The result?
Well, they have written one at https://manpages.org/rsbep, but the package is too old even for Debian to have it in the tracker (https://packages.qa.debian.org/r/rsbep.html). The tracker would have had a collection of patches including the manual, but I guess it's lost to time.
If I do find it eventually, would you want to add a branch (or do a big rebase) so we can get a diff against 0.0.5? Doing so should help preserve this piece of history and clarify what has changed.
etch's Contents-i386.gz says:
usr/bin/rsbep admin/dvbackup
usr/bin/rsbepC admin/dvbackup
But dvbackup's sourceforge download has no rsbep. Hmm.
Good, I've got it!
- http://mirrors.accretive-networks.net/debian-archive/debian/pool/main/d/dvbackup/dvbackup_0.0.4rj1.orig.tar.gz has the rsbep thing, including the manpage.
- http://mirrors.accretive-networks.net/debian-archive/debian/pool/main/d/dvbackup/dvbackup_0.0.4-9.debian.tar.xz has one change, a makefile with some hardened compile flags.
Let's hope these don't get lost to time.
