Import nvALT 'Single Database'

I have an old nvALT single database stored. Filename is the standard 'Notes & Settings' I have attempted to import the old database to my new installation of nvALT using Note Menu->Import, however this process fails with the following error message shown:

What steps can be taken to import the old database into my new installation of the application?

I am having the same issue, further exacerbated by NV no longer syncing with Singlenote API. I am trying to migrate my notes database from NV to nvALT with no luck.
