Undo and redo not working
I'm using the latest version of nvALT on the Mac, and updated recently to macOS High Sierra. The "undo" and "redo" shortcuts have stopped working, and they are also greyed-out in the Edit menu... Has anyone got any idea why this is, and how to fix it?? (My plain-text notes are saved on Dropbox.) thanks, Jason

Unsure about this one. My only recommendation would be to trash your preferences file, reboot, and let it re-initialize (updating your storage settings and such afterwards). If you're storing your notes as plain text files, you might want to delete the Notes & Settings file (or move it to a backup location) prior to re-launching nvALT after the reboot. If you're storing as a database (doesn't sound like you are, but…), switch to plain text files and let it write all your notes to disk before doing the reset, just to be safe.
Preference file is located at ~/Library/Preferences/net.elasticthreads.nv.plist. You'll probably have a bunch of temp files with the same name and random extensions, so delete those as well. You have the option of backing the main file up to a different location. Again, note that emptying the trash and rebooting is required because recent versions of macOS aggressively cache preferences and will just write them back to disk if the caches aren't cleared.
Just upgraded to High Sierra and now whenever Dropbox finishes syncing real-time changes to my plain text notes, Undo and Redo functionality instantly becomes unavailable.
I followed the above steps a few times to the letter, but am not having any luck resolving the issue. Had to move my notes off Dropbox to solve it, which is a major bummer.

I am having the same issue, and it is definitely Dropbox related: pausing sync makes it go away.
Just another data point: I was having this problem too, and it went away. I'm not sure what I did, but I certainly visited my settings, and they seemed to be a bit messed up. I set everything back the way it should be -- plain text notes, in a folder in Dropbox -- and it's working properly now.
Same here. Dropbox + Simplenote syncing. El Capitan, MBP mid-2010.
