nvvat always opens with find function set to search for letter "r"

Whenever I open nvALT, the letter "r" is highlighted in all my notes. When I click command-F, the find function is set to search for "r." If I delete the find command and click "done," the "r" is no longer highlighted in my notes, but if I close it down and re-open it, it happens again. Any advice would be appreciated.

This issue is very old, but I have the same problem. Except for me, it's to or do. No idea why.
