Screen capture

I figure there is already a good chance you have considered adding an on device capture function but dismissed the idea due to memory limitations. (I know pgm is very very tight). Now what if instead there was a screen freeze function that allowed it to then be disconnected so the screen contents could be read out on a nearby computer. This would eliminate the need for the computer to be in some godforsaken place and connected to the NanoVNA. It would also eliminate any potential USB or other noise riding up the cable from the PC during certain measurements.

Using a phone or camera to take a picture of the screen has always been an option but very small numbers are nearly impossible to read clearly in some cases. The flash can overpower the dim screen contents in many cases if it can't be disabled. Anyway hopefully this firmware hasn't been abandoned yet with all of the newer models.

I know what you mean, I want to measure directly on my antenna connector in an awkward place. So I prepared a Raspberry Pi 4 with Ubuntu for that purpose to have it running the nanovna-saver. The RPi is also running Ubuntu from a Transcend 128GB SSD stick and I will power it by a power pack. I have installed nanovna-saver on it and that works. I want to have establish a RDP connection as my next step. If that works I can set up this small system directly at the antenna connector and do the measurements from behind my desktop. I hope that is a good idea and does not cause to much noise (the vna makes plenty of it anyway.)
