Backward compatible:

  • Feature: virtual u2f device package for integration testing

Incompatible, need major version increment:

  • Disable attestation cert verification by default (impossible to keep certs up to date, disabled by default in Chrome)
  • Ability to inject time to aid testing (see https://github.com/tstranex/u2f/pull/13)

Research:

  • Changes needed for WebAuthn
