Right before the end of the section 6.2:
$X_n^{(1)}$ is bigger than $X_n^{(2)}$. In other words, $X_n^{(2)}$ will converge in probably towards zero faster.
$X_n^{(1)}$ should be smaller than $X_n^{(2)}$. Example: $n=64$, $\frac 1 {\sqrt{n}} = 1/8$, $\frac 1 {\sqrt[3]{n}} = 1/4$
