The abovementioned PR handles the first part of this issue -- password *change* for users who are already authenticated. The password reset part will depend on https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/issues/281 being done first.

I'm gonna put this under [Future Tech](https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/labels/future%20tech) because it would be cool to have, but it's probably not something we'll implement straight away.
Yep, handling emojis properly is definitely something we're going to look into :)

For now I managed to resolve some of the issues with database slowness by adding indexes in appropriate places (see #419), so that's part 1 of the fix. Still didn't...

Heya! Thanks for opening this :) The `accounts-registration-open` option is implemented! But unfortunately right now we don't have a sign-up page for new accounts. It's planned but not there yet....
