Code fixup, and spit out switch-hole

Hi!

I'm playing around with this project, and I initially start with nuking all trailing spaces. Also, I think it's really useful to spit out the switch-hole, as this is excellet for a first test-print. Then I removed some variables that are unused.

Sorry for bundling three maybe separate things in this PR, but we can discuss which of the commits are interesting and they can be cherry-picked, or I can remove / modify them as see fit.
