Version bump, fixed readme and fixed installation

I tried to install this module on a newer installation, but I encountered some problems with the installation via pip. Probably because of the fact that the package is pretty old :)

I've updated some formatting of the documentation as well, and removed the data-files option for the setup (I don't know why it was included?), and now it seems to install correctly again.
