Add network flow diagram to self hosted ngrok?

Open funder7 opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Hello, a couple of days ago I've discovered the ngrok solution, and consequently your article... It's a very interesting topic! For a newbie like me it's not very easy to understand all the concepts (how the traffic it's routed, where 'tunnel.yourdomain' is defined, and so on..).

Having a basic network schematic would add some great value to your post!

Hey, you're right that adding a diagram would help a lot. I don't have any plans to add one soon, but I'll keep this in mind. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

If you let me know what is specifically confusing for you, maybe I can make some adjustments to the text that would help.

Hello! Well.. When you call a service passing through a tunnel like ngrok, content is not delivered directly as it would be from a web server exposed on your ip, it would be nice to see how content is delivered and how the request gets to your computer. I did a quick schematic for me to understand how it works, unfortunately I don't have it anymore... plus I'm not expert about this topic :-)
