A family member recently became mentally incapacitated with a penchant for wandering. I strapped my Apple Watch to them, logged into the same icloud account on a mac and setup BLEUnlock with an Event script that notified us for every event. This basically gave them free roam around the house, but as soon as they went outside we would get an alert. We used ntfy.sh for notifications, allowing for cross-platform notifications. Apple's FInd My isn't fine-grained enough (on a watch series 9 anyway) for our use case.

I just want to thank you for developing this software and making our lives a lot easier and giving the incapacitated member more autonomy and us less hovering. I know this isn't the use-case you thought of when you wrote this software, but it has worked really well.
