-
Purpose of the token Synth sETH is a small, community-driven ERC20 token created for learning and demonstrating how DeFi assets work on-chain. It helps Trust Wallet users by providing a simple and transparent example of transfers, tracking, and interacting with decentralized liquidity.
-
Distribution method / Airdrop There has been no airdrop. The distribution has been organic through normal on-chain usage by community participants. No airdrop is planned.
-
Centralized exchange listing The token is not listed on centralized exchanges, which is expected since the project is still in an early and educational stage without commercial goals.
-
Decentralized exchange listing & liquidity Synth sETH is available on Uniswap with small community-provided liquidity. Liquidity is modest at this stage, and since the project is non-commercial, liquidity locking is not a current priority.
-
CoinMarketCap listing The token is not listed on CoinMarketCap yet. CMC listing will be considered later, after completing the Trust Wallet listing, because the project is still growing and does not aim for fundraising or speculation.
-
Smart Contract audit No audit has been conducted yet. The token uses a simple, open-source ERC20 contract which is fully transparent and publicly verifiable on-chain through Etherscan.
-
Team identity / Anonymity The team is currently anonymous because the project is small, non-commercial, and community-focused. There is no fundraising or investor activity. Transparency is ensured through the open-source contract and active public GitHub repository.
Hi @mehditk-hash! Thank you for providing detailed information about the Synth sETH token. We appreciate the transparency and the educational intent behind the project. However, before proceeding with adding this asset to our repository, we would like to highlight several important considerations and potential red flags that need to be addressed to ensure user safety and ecosystem integrity:
Lack of Smart Contract Audit: While the token uses a simple ERC20 contract, the absence of a formal security audit poses a risk. Even simple contracts can have vulnerabilities or unintended behaviors. We strongly recommend obtaining a professional audit or at least a thorough community review to enhance trust and security.
No Centralized Exchange Listing / Low Liquidity: The tokenβs limited liquidity and absence from centralized exchanges may impact user experience, including slippage and price volatility. Users should be clearly informed about these limitations to avoid confusion or unexpected losses.
No Current Plans for Liquidity Locking: Liquidity locking is a key measure to protect users from rug pulls or sudden liquidity withdrawals. Even if the project is non-commercial, considering liquidity locking or other safeguards would increase confidence.
Educational Purpose vs. Real-World Use: Since the token is primarily educational, it should be clearly communicated to users that it is not intended for investment or speculation, and that risks are inherent in interacting with experimental or community-driven tokens.
We recommend addressing these points to align with best practices in the blockchain ecosystem and to ensure that users transacting with Synth sETH have clear information and adequate protections.
Please let us know if you plan to take steps in these areas or if you have additional documentation to share. Our goal is to support innovative projects while maintaining a safe and trustworthy environment for all users.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Hi @TWmLorejo and Trust Wallet team,
Thank you for your detailed review and for highlighting these important considerations.
Synth sETH is a small, community-driven educational project, and we fully agree on the importance of user protection and transparent communication. Below is our response to the points you mentioned:
-
Smart Contract Audit The project uses a standard, minimal ERC20 contract and is fully open-source on Etherscan. While a formal audit has not yet been completed, we are exploring lightweight community-level review options to increase transparency. We will publish any future review or audit results in the project repository.
-
Liquidity and CEX Listing The token currently has small community-provided liquidity. No CEX listing is planned at this stage due to the educational nature of the project. We will continue to clearly communicate the limitations to users to avoid any misunderstanding.
-
Liquidity Locking Although the project is non-commercial, we are evaluating options for locking the existing liquidity or using a time-locked mechanism to reinforce user trust. Any updates in this area will be added to the documentation.
-
Educational Purpose We explicitly communicate across all channels that Synth sETH is not an investment asset. It is strictly for educational interaction with DeFi tools, wallets, and on-chain mechanics. Users are informed about the risks of low liquidity and experimental tokens.
Thank you for your guidance and for helping maintain a safe ecosystem. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify these points and will continue improving the projectβs transparency and documentation.
Hi @mehditk-hash
Thank you for your thoughtful and comprehensive response. We appreciate your openness in addressing the key considerations we raised and your commitment to transparency and user protection.
Your plans to explore community-level audits and to publish any future reviews will certainly help build trust and confidence in the project. We also acknowledge your clear communication regarding liquidity limitations and the educational nature of Synth sETH, which is crucial for user awareness.
Regarding liquidity locking, we encourage you to keep us updated on any developments, as this will further enhance user security and project credibility.
We look forward to seeing the continued progress and documentation updates from your team. Please donβt hesitate to reach out if you need further guidance or support from our side.
Thank you again for your cooperation and dedication to maintaining a safe and transparent ecosystem.
Thank you for your detailed feedback and the time your team has spent reviewing the submission. I appreciate the guidance and the transparency throughout the process. If possible, Iβd like to know the approximate review timeframe, so we can plan our internal steps accordingly. Even a general estimate (days or weeks) would be helpful.
Hi @mehditk-hash Please note that we do not have a definite deadline in terms of compliance. Since the pull request fee has already been paid, we can proceed with the review as soon as the outstanding concerns have been addressed.
We will close this PR for the meantime. Feel free to re-open it again or message us so we can continue the review Thank you for you compliance and understanding
Hi Trust Wallet Assets Team,
I hope youβre doing well. Iβm reaching out to kindly ask for a brief clarification regarding the current review status of PR #34241.
Our goal is to ensure that all technical requirements (folder structure, info.json formatting, logo specs, and metadata accuracy) fully meet Trust Wallet guidelines. If there are any adjustments or additional steps needed from our side, I would be happy to address them promptly.
I understand that the review process may take time, and I appreciate your efforts. My intention is simply to confirm whether the submission is still under review and to ensure that everything is correctly aligned with your standards.
Thank you again for your support and guidance.
Best regards, mehditk-hash
Hi @mehditk-hash,
Thank you for reaching out. Could you please confirm if the previously mentioned concerns regarding folder structure, info.json formatting, logo specifications, and metadata accuracy have been addressed?
Once these issues are resolved, we will be happy to proceed with the review.
Looking forward to your update.
Hi, and thank you for your follow-up.
I want to confirm that all previously mentioned technical issues β including folder structure, info.json formatting, logo requirements, and metadata updates β have now been fully resolved. The repository is completely updated and ready for the next review stage.
I also wanted to clarify one point: the earlier message suggested the PR might be closed, while the review itself was positive and all questions had been addressed. Since this caused some uncertainty, I just want to ensure that everything on my side is now in the correct state and that there is no unintended blocker preventing the process from moving forward.
It has been a few weeks since the last update, so Iβm simply checking in to confirm that the project is still progressing normally from your side. If there is anything additional you would like me to update or clarify before a final decision is made, Iβm more than happy to assist.
Thank you again for your time, support, and guidance throughout this process.
Hi @mehditk-hash
Could you please provide proof or documentation confirming that the smart contract has been audited and that the liquidity has been properly locked?
Please rest assured that the pull request will remain open as long as these concerns are being actively addressed. We appreciate your efforts and look forward to your update so we can proceed with the review.
