trunk check list fails to download archive on Windows

Trunk is installed with npm i -g @trunkio/launcher.

trunk check list fails with:

✖ Unable to download plugin https://github.com/trunk-io/plugins/archive/v1.2.1.zip: string pointer is null

$ trunk version
1.22.10

I'm experiencing this issue too after installing with npm
