Pressing F3 crashes the application

I have a clean installation on OS X El Capitan (and also on Yosemite). Whenever I press F3 to preview a file, application crashes. This also occasionally happens for F4.

Can't reproduce this. Do you try top view a text or a binary file? What version of Java do you have (see "About trolCommander" in main menu)?
