convert_spaces renames the files already on disk

Hello,

I'd like to enable the "convert_spaces" and "transliteration" features, but it seems to rename all the existing files on the disk. In my database all the paths link to the current names with spaces, so enabling this feature breaks all the links.

Is it possible to enable this feature at upload/file-folder creation, and keep the existing files as is ?
