User is not added to group entered in 'default groups' when they are created

I have this set up and running implementing the Auth0 plugin.

When the user logs in and a user is created in Grav, it is not given the appropriate group access as set in the OAuth2 plugin.

Interestingly also, when I try to select existing groups I'm not offered any - it requires me to type the name of the group. Maybe this field isn't working as expected?
