Walkthrough
The scripts/publish-prerelease.sh script was modified to remove the helper function that extracted GITHUB_TOKEN from a .env file and the conditional logic that auto-exported the token when unset. The script no longer attempts to initialize GITHUB_TOKEN from environment configuration files and will proceed without automatic token setup, eliminating the previous exit path triggered when the token was missing.
Estimated code review effort
🎯 2 (Simple) | ⏱️ ~8 minutes
- Verify that the script handles the absence of
GITHUB_TOKENappropriately without the automatic setup mechanism - Confirm that
GITHUB_TOKENis sourced from an alternative method (e.g., environment variables, CI/CD context, or manual user setup) - Review the modified error handling flow and control logic to ensure the intended behavior is preserved
