Might not need a complete rewrite of the exe in order for this to work. Compability layers like Wine works really well. I already have the original game running through Wine, and its working like normal. There is only a minor graphical issue with the smoke effect not having the correct color, but its very playable. If you are still intrested or more people want linux instructions, I could post them in a more in-depth guide on how to get the main game working. I have yet to try this with OpenLRR, but i suspect it will work similarly.
