Should Liberapay strive towards a flat payment processing fee?

There is something I don't get, sorry if I'm becoming dumb here, but the idea sounds as if we would go from a 3% average fee to a 5% one?

What is the difference between Liberapay and others platforms?

I'd say, among other differences, Liberapay : - is run by a non-for-profit organization - isn't taking a percentage of each transaction for itself - is run by free software...
