HUD issue

I don't have the folder you listed in the FAQ which has the log sorry. I'm suddenly having a problem where I open the game, and when I press F6 and bring up the menu and click custom HUD and hide the interface, the HUD line/bar doesn't show on the bottom right. I tried to fiddle around with the Custom HUD settings and now when I start a race (even with the HUD off), in the middle of the screen I got the input meters but a small version. the only way I can get rid of it is to press F6 and click custom HUD on and off (it's having this problem even when the HUD is off that i need to turn it on then off). It's driving me nuts because now it's in the middle of the screen and all I tried to do was get the HUD working. I updated PRM because it was out of date. is it possible to hide everything except for the small HUD bar on the bottom right when I hide the interface, like before? I think I did this before when I was playing around with stuff but it had this green square around it that wouldn't go away. With the input meter showing on the middle of the screen and me having to turn on and off the HUD to get rid of it, is that just a bug? Is there anything I can reinstall to fix that but doesn't get rid of my current settings?
