Hi @travisghansen, here's a PR with @craigwitter's workaround (https://github.com/travisghansen/hass-opnsense/issues/143#issuecomment-2258885338), given some people are struggling to make the changes manually.

My first ever PR, so let me know if I'm meant to do anything different! :)
