APT source whitelist request for MySQL 5.6
It would be nice if MySQL 5.6 could be installed, e.g. from the upstream repository:
- deb source line:
deb http://repo.mysql.com/apt/ubuntu/ precise mysql-5.6 - PGP key:
- http://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x8C718D3B5072E1F5
Would be great to have this done, my project would also need it.
:+1: on this one
Could be nice to have the choice between mysql 5.6 and 5.7:
- deb source line: deb http://repo.mysql.com/apt/ubuntu/ precise mysql-5.7
Thanks
👍 for mysql 5.7
Would love to have this added, that way when I put in mysql-server-5.6 under packages, the apt addon can actually find it.
This is only needed for precise. For trusty the APT addon can use the native Ubuntu repo already for mysql 5.6.
#291 is open for adding the upstream repo to both precise and trusty for mysql-5.7

This is now fixed (via #291).
