APT whitelist request for gcc-7 in trusty
from ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
This is an automated comment.
Ran tests, but could not found source package. Either the source package for gcc-7 does not exist, or the package needs an APT source. If you wish to add an APT source, please follow the directions on https://github.com/travis-ci/apt-source-whitelist#source-approval-process. Build results: https://travis-ci.org/travis-ci/apt-whitelist-checker/builds/184673669.

I would like this too, please.
yes please
yes please
Pretty please?
@banzaiman ping? gcc-7 is clearly available, and already partially installed. All it needs is a full-suite (gcc-7
) whitelist entry.
Thanks in advance for getting this resolved!
@BanzaiMan @meatballhat Ping? At this stage gcc-8
is also available. Please consider enabling either or both.
Thank you!
FWIW: installing packages on Travis, especially large ones like the compiler, is painfully slow and it's much faster to have a docker image available through docker hub and then download that in your Travis job to use as a build environment. You're then also not limited to the outdated version of Ubuntu.

FYI g++-8 is available and works.
