disrespect of XDG_CONFIG_HOME

Open anthraxx opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

commit 4ee216e2d8eac0ebd4d3fd2a0e99639bdfff7913 has undone some important loading points especially for distro packaging.

However what is really hurtful that it now only accepts polluting files in the root of $HOME which is really discouraged nowadays. Please consider reverting back or at least support XDG_CONFIG_HOME with a default fallback of $HOME/.config/ls++/ls++.conf

Particularly, https://github.com/trapd00r/ls--/blob/567ff82bfedd345ac3feb89d61b22f3d24726145/ls%2B%2B.conf#L3 still says it respects XDG_CONFIG_HOME.

Anyway, why was support for it removed?

(Sidenote, I really love this project. I install it on all devices I am the admin for (over 30 devices), and I am always annoyed when I have not yet installed it. So thanks a lot!)
