PhysIO - Summary INCF MathWorks Summer Project

The aim of this summer project is to enhance the accessibility of the PhysIO Toolbox for neuroscience researchers by focusing on the following capability, usability and quality aspects:

Core Goals

• [x] Interfacing platform-independent community standards (BIDS) for toolbox output and intermediate preprocessing results
• [ ] Extended read-In capabilities to advanced fMRI acquisition (multi-band slice timing)
• [x] Retrospective visualization of all plots for debugging purposes (“tapas_physio_review”)
• [x] Online standalone interactive tutorial (“Notebook/Browser-Demo”) using NeuroDesk and or Matlab live scripts

Stretch Goals

• [ ] Selecting optimal physiological models by interfacing Matlab toolboxes for statistical model comparison (e.g., MACS)
• [ ] Comprehensive API documentation (using matlab's function argument validation semantics)
• [x] Expand unit and integration test coverage
