Oh sorry I have missed the previous PR entirely.

Last time I did some work on datastorr it was to try and simplify things away from needing to use a package at all. The big blocking issue is #6 as fixing that will break everything else I think

Andrew MacDonald (@aammd) was going to pick up some of the work here but I think he is equally snowed under. And I'm about to head away for a fortnight....

I will try and get onto the backlog here early July if Andrew can't in the meantime. Please @ me in an issue/PR if I don't respond by the second week of July?
