Enormous battery needs

There is an enormous battery need, no matter how high the refresh time is. Whether 60 or 900 seconds makes no difference.

There are limitation from Apple, but I think there is some space for improvement here.

An Idea for new devices: At the Moves app there is an option for battery save with iOS7 and iPhone5s which takes the M7 processor to do all the work! Maybe this is also an option...

Is there any update on this in 2023? My child's iPhone (12) reports that traccar is taking 40% of their battery(!) ... so they disabled it.

GPS chip in the phone requires a lot of power. If you want to reduce battery usage, you should select lower accuracy.
