IOS app remote on/off

Would it be possible to add a remote on/off feature to the app so it can be activated/deactivated from the server/web-app. I have seen this in other tracker apps and its a good battery saver.

I guess that's possible with push notifications.

this is where i saw it, and it worked quite well, owntracks its called, it has an 'allow remote requests' option in the app

Thanks for the link. I don't think I would have time to work on it any time soon, but at some point it would be nice to implement.
