Queue until WiFi/Mobile data is available?
Hey Guys,
Did not want to submit an issue but as I saw this is the appropriate place.
I suppose there isn't such functionality now and maybe somebody has any ideas? I love Traccar and it's perfect, though if there's no mobile data available or WiFi, what options would be possible for it to hold a 'queue' with data needed to be sent when mobile data/WiFi is available?
Thanks.
In other words, if the mobile has no mobile/WiFi or (for example as an option) is on Roaming, the service would stack a queue with data in it, and when it can use mobile again - ship all of the data that it lossed during the downtime.
Traccar Client already does buffer data if there is no internet connection. What made you think it doesn't?
May be an idea to somehow pin the app to say only WiFi for those with no data or little data.
If you have small mobile data plan, why would you keep data transmission always on? I think, use case should be further elaborated... As of 5.5 (the most recent version) the client can accumulate location data in offline mode, and does it very well :)
