Destruction Derby

Okay, on Europe's game Destruction Derby, from the main menu there are 4 buttons of gameplay to choose from and an "options" button. You cannot visually see what of the 4 gameplay modes you are choosing. None of the 4 buttons light up as you scroll onto them. you can hear a faint click, kind of a static-y click but the bottons do light up like they should. In contrast, if you scroll over the "options" button as if to choose it, it lights up yellow. So there is no visual way of seeing which game mode you are choosing. If you guess which gameplay mode you are on and select it, it goes into the game mode, but otherwise there is no visual cue to what game mode you have chosen as there should be. I am using the latest FW on a Blue "Elite" pcb board Saroo. The game's info is:
