What console to use? x men vs street fighter has glitches at 50hz, marvel vs breaks at 50hz with the original game

goukizero avatar Jul 07 '24 04:07 goukizero

Its a v1 model access light and oval buttons, xmen vs street fighter has glitches like you said, no audio, i fix it by setting up the saroocfg.txt and runs perfect

tronky12 avatar Jul 07 '24 07:07 tronky12

goukizero avatar Jul 07 '24 07:07 goukizero

No Config was needed. Let me know a few things so maybe we can figure it out. This is the ISO I used https://bityl.co/QvuR

Console type and model SAROO version SD card details (brand, capacity, format) Firmware version ISO revision (if applicable)

Saroo firmware version 0.6 Sd card formated to fat32 Iso downloaded from https://cdromance.org/sega_saturn_isos/marvel-super-heroes-vs-street-fighter-japan/

Okay, so a couple of things we can try as I just tried on mine. Also, the model number is not clear if you can type it in that be. great. Im not familiar with ImageMate pro model SD Cards. First suggestion is to load the game up on another SD Card by itself and see if you get the same results. Now I know the SD card is formated in Fat32 which I tried seems to have no issue here on my end but you can also try exfat which I personally recommend as its a newer and faster with better performance.

Mikeylovesretro avatar Jul 07 '24 16:07 Mikeylovesretro

I tried in other sd card an get the same issue Mk-8000 model v1 serial no. 051032296

tronky12 avatar Jul 07 '24 16:07 tronky12

Ask? Have you tried pulling the cartridge up a little and testing? The saturn slot is famous for causing problems, I wouldn't rule out cleaning it to try the easiest thing first.

goukizero avatar Jul 07 '24 16:07 goukizero

I tried everything and i get the same issue

Have you tried formatting in exfat? There was an issue with Fat32 on firm v0.5 so trying to rule out formatting.

Other then that I say it might be the console version as my serial number starts with letters

Mikeylovesretro avatar Jul 08 '24 04:07 Mikeylovesretro

I wouldn't have to fail in an ntsc U. The card, its quality and speed is questionable, apart from the ExFat format being recommended

have you tried archive org, redump saturn 2024?

goukizero avatar Jul 08 '24 11:07 goukizero

The isos I use i downloded from Archive.org or cdromance

tronky12 avatar Jul 08 '24 11:07 tronky12

SD or console cartridge connection problem I can not think of anything else

goukizero avatar Jul 08 '24 11:07 goukizero

Console Cartridge is clean, today I'm going to try with another brand of SD.

tronky12 avatar Jul 08 '24 11:07 tronky12

with a clean cartridge case: Marvel super heroes jap happened to me 2 times in a row, I left the intro and the graphics broken

I load the Groove on Fight from saroo and it tells me "there is no ram cartridge"

Move the cartridge a little in its place and everything works fine..... the cartridge holder gives a lot of connection problems

goukizero avatar Jul 08 '24 11:07 goukizero

Well I'm going to try that too, xmen vs sf gave me glitched and no sound, set the saroocfg.txt and it works perfect, Marvel super heroes American version not work for me but the jap version works perfect and groove and fight works perfect for me , only marvel super heroes vs sf cause me issues

(#) Marvel Super Heroes (USA) [T-1214H V1.001] sector_delay=6000 play_delay=30000

As that to the config for Marvel Super Heroes - Note take out ( ) in the #

Mikeylovesretro avatar Jul 08 '24 17:07 Mikeylovesretro

in 0.6 to be able to play you have to deactivate the ram, if not before or after the pal crashes, and the usa does not start directly this would be the arrangement

The japanese version works with no issues for me

tronky12 avatar Jul 08 '24 17:07 tronky12

The jap works both with and without ram without problems, it does not hang

goukizero avatar Jul 08 '24 18:07 goukizero

Four different SD Cards formatted to ExFAT and Fat32 and Marvel Super Heroes vs SF same issues , i clean the cartridge slot twice , I moved it as I was told in the comments and same result.

Do you know if your board is American VA2/VA4 (VA SD)? I have one of these units, and it is not able to run Marvel vs. Street Fighter neither X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Additionally, I encounter problems with SNK games, where the game persistently repeat the last SFX sound. This issue occurs both with burned games and original discs. Interestingly, when I try another Saturn unit, the game runs fine.

ferraca avatar Jul 10 '24 00:07 ferraca

I couldn't tell you, all SNK Games Works Perfect!, the only Capcom game that doesn't work for me is that.

tronky12 avatar Jul 10 '24 05:07 tronky12

Japanese version works fine.
