Fenrir old 21p not working with Saroo ?
Hi, I’m having a nightmare with getting saroo working with the old blu board 21p fenrir.
Sound is terrible. Iv seen fix for the Duo and 20p versions but nothing for the 21p.
I reached out to Ced of fenrir and he’s really not interested in helping.
Does anyone know of a work around ?
You need to purchase an active crystal oscillator, install it according to the diagram, and stick one pin off with tape

Get a cheap Japanese console, that's what i did. Not worth the hassle to tinker on your 21p console with an installed fenir. With the fenrir console you can still use the Pseudo Saturn Kai loader ISO, which is very convenient for cheats.

There are many crystal oscillators of this model in the Chinese market. Note that there are many models of crystal oscillator frequencies, and merchants may not be able to display them one by one in the store. You can ask the merchant on AliExpress whether they have this model.
There is another crazy way! Use your original optical drive motherboard (or MOD CHIP) as an active crystal oscillator. If you are interested, you can upload a photo of your optical drive (or MOD CHIP)

Before purchasing accessories, if possible, inform CED (fenrir seller) about your situation and ask them to customize a firmware for you. Tell them that you need a fenrir firmware that is not constrained by CDres and permanently outputs CDclk
