Change italic lowercase “a”?

I have been feeling like the italic lowercase “a” looks too much like the “o”... especially in the lightest weights, and moreso the wider that lightweight italic “a” is.

I have been thinking about ways to fix this, but working well with all axes including slant could be tricky. :/

Still, I would very much like to make a try at improving this before we ship. It is a very common glyph in most Latin and Cyrillic languages.
