Does the same executable run outside Emacs, eg in the terminal?
I concur with @hexaeder, this should ideally be handled via Julia's display mechanisms, and then eg displayed as SVG. That is already handled just fine.
The `julia-repl-mode` is a minor mode for Julia source code files (`.jl`). `julia-repl.el` does not define a minor mode for the inferior buffer. Would one be useful for you?

Unfortunately, that repo is somewhat outdated, I haven't used Gitlab for a while.
Sorry if I am missing the obvious, but could you please provide a suggestion to deal with the above struct so that eg `Accessors.@optic _.a` etc works to modify `a`?
FWIW, I think that auto-closing issues (and the related warnings from the bot) is a bad policy. A lot of successful FOSS projects have outstanding issues that have been open...
