Jagged edges on iPad Air 2
On iPad Air 2 there is an issue with jagged edges.
See this screenshot:
Lemme know how I can help!
I am happy to help, too. It's difficult to draw when you have black zig zags following you. 😩 Thank you.
And just so you're aware, the same issue exists on an iPhone 6...
I need your email addresses to add you as beta testers. It must be the email you use for your Apple Account. Please send it to [email protected] I will try on an iPhone 6 tomorrow and if I find a fix I'll send a build of the app to you, though Apples new beta testing system.

I've invited you, but Apple has to review the app for beta testing :-O
Not sure if you saw my post but I am able to draw with the jagged black lines if I first fill my "page" with a color or just white.
Exactly same issue with me. Is there a fix?
I completely forgot about this :-/ Did any of you try the beta app?
Hi - Can you direct me to the beta app please?
All the best Bob

I think that the beta app only works for 30 days...unfortunately. I will submit a new one, but Apple needs to review it even though one needs to be invited to test it. Or maby I'll try find a fix using my boss iPhone 6. I'll be back... :-D
Thanks for that. Out of interest the App runs fine no jagged edges on my iPhone 5 running IOS 8, but not on my iPad air 2 running the same IOS!

Hi @tougher! I did try the beta, found that the issue still existed, and tried to figure out how to let you know that, unsuccessfully it seems. Let us know about your progress!
Thanks again, John
You've got mail...
I'm working on a similar project with the same codebase, I was wondering what the fix was for this particular issue?
I have the same problem on my iPad air 2. If you fill the layer as suggested there are not jagged lines but this is not workable when you work with layers.
Has this been solved yet?
It seems so! Download brushes redux again and it works! Brilliant thank you

Hi there I have just downloaded it works if you are just using one layer ...... but if I fill a layer and work on the next one up or add an image and draw over it the jagged line is still there. If I draw on the lowest layer then draw over it on another layer the jagged line shows only where the line draws over the first layer line.
The jagged lines go when it's added to the gallery but I just can't work with the jagged lines.
Any ideas or am I doing something wrong?

I have downloaded the new Brushes Redux but it still shows the lines. I downloaded the Brushes Test and that works fine.
FYI with Brushes Redux, if you touch transform and then accept, you can get rid of the black jags as you go.

Tougher had made the Brushes Test available for download awhile ago. You should ask him and maybe you can still download it.

@lotinlife what, so that test version did work for you?
Hi just tested the Brushes Redux again on my iPad Air2 and no jagged edges with layers , have you tried deleting existing and re downloading from App Store? Not sure why it works for me and not for others.
All the best Bob

Hi there
Have just reloaded brushes redux, all is ok with layers until you either fill a layer with colour or an image. Then go to another layer and draw....jagged lines reappear. Thanks Angela

Ok so here's what happens, I put up 4 layers to begin with.. Fill layer 1. light green , blue line ok Layer 2.. grey line jagged Layer 3 ....photo inserted and yellow line ...yellow line jagged on fill but not on photo Layer 4 .....pink line jagged on it all.
if you add layers as you go the jagged lines disappear fro. The screen but appear when you start to draw again...see red line in 2nd photoSent from my iPad
This is impossible to work with as I plan out and develop my artwork using the layers. Any help would be very much appreciated. Angela

So tried to replicate - could set up 4 layers. Can replicate your actions on each layer with no jagged lines BUT cannot flip between layers, just seeing them in left panel of layers but only final one showing in main area. Why do they behave so differently? pad aur2 running latest updates.
