Found a Fix for the black artifacts

Hi - I believe the blit mask pixel shader is at fault. Took me a while to track this down, but my shader fix tests fine on my Air 2. Check out the work on my recent fork. I also updated to Xcode 7.1 and iOS 9. Tell me what you think.

Awesome! I've look forward to look into your code. I spend countless hours debugging the shaders myself. But it's hard to debug without a affected device and get someone else to test. Luckily I just got at a new phone, which is affected.
