[BUG] Audio transcription stops prematurely when the user stops talking for more than a second

Open lrq3000 opened this issue 1 month ago • 3 comments

When the user stops talking at some point in the middle of the recording, the transcription stops there, instead of skipping silences.

I don't know how long exactly but I have an example audio I can work with to debug this issue, or I can try to generate a new example one I can share.

@lrq3000 Thanks for reporting this, I have some couple questions.

Please can you share the example audio file that reproduces the issue? What Android version and device are you using? Does this happen with both imported recording (audio & video) and in-app recorded audio, or just one scenario?

@tosinonikute I cannot share the audio that causes this issue but I will try to reproduce it with an audio sample I can share.

I am using Android 10 on a Huawei P40 Pro. This is with audio recorded in-app, not imported. I did not yet try with imported audio with a similar characteristic. I suppose the same issue happens to both, as in my tests, processing of imported audio worked very much like audio recorded in-app.

@lrq3000 Okay, I'll try to record some audios to replicate.
